SAY I AM YOU...

A Sufi poem by Rumi

Monday, May 22, 2006

I am in love constantly

I dance in my room
to music so loud ,
and let go and forget the past
there is no time but this moment alone
to breath and sing and dance:

Listen my soul, o listen

I am in love with the sun
who caresses me…

I am in love with the wind
who refreshes me…

I am in love with old men,
when they drink coffee in bars.

I am in love with lonely people,
who need some talks.

I am in love with empty streets...

when darkness overwhelms the soul.

I am in love with little children
who jump, and play and fall.

I am in love with flowers...

... and trees...
with all nature...

... and with the animals.

I am in love with stars
that shine during the day.
They remind me: life is a
dream...

I am in love with Umbria,
Assisi and its countless bells.

I am in love with Francis the fool...
his magic voice, his praises for Jesus, the Lord.

No suffering
has power to destroy my life...

I am on the way,
and behold God alone.
I have forgiven the past and myself...
I am free, I love and march on.

I walk to the destination
where You...

...and I...

...will meet...

in endless joy, in laughter eternal...

in the great light of bliss itself...

I am in love constantly!
